After weeks of rumors, Apple has officially announced its new event management app: Apple Invites.
Apple Invites allows users to create custom invitations to send to friends and family for events such as weddings, birthday parties, office meetings, and more. The new app also allows users to manage RSVPs for any event and create a shared photo album and Apple Music playlist for it. These features are only available to iCloud+ subscribers, but anyone can accept an RSVP, regardless of whether they have an Apple device or account.
Apple Invites is available for download on the App Store now, and users can access it through the web on iCloud’s website. The app requires iOS 18 or later to download.
“With Apple Invites, an event comes to life from the moment the invitation is created, and users can share lasting memories even after they get together,” Apple said in a press release. “Apple Invites brings together capabilities our users already know and love across iPhone, iCloud, and Apple Music, making it easy to plan special events.”
Apple Invites
Apple Invites lets iCloud+ subscribers create a unique invitation for their event. The app is like making a poster for your event. You can add all the details anyone needs to know about the event, like the date, location and time to the invite. Hosts can manage RSVPs and a shared photo album for the event.

You can add your own image for the event or generate one with Image Playground

When you first open the Apple Invites app, you’ll be given the option to create an event. From there, you can make a title for the event, select the date, time, and location, add a description, and attach an image. You can share the event via iMessage, text message, email, and with other third-party apps such as WhatsApp. The whole experience reminds me of creating a poster.
You can also add an Apple Music playlist to the event, allowing users to view the music being played right from the Apple Invites page. It’s unclear if Apple will add further support for other music streaming services, like Spotify, in the future. The Shared Album feature lets the host and attendees contribute photos and videos from the event, which are easily accessible to everyone afterward.
Apple Invites gives hosts complete control of their events, allowing them to view guest lists, manage RSVPs, and set privacy settings. Users with a device that supports Apple Intelligence can also use Image Playground to generate an image for the event and use its AI Writing Tools to help write the event’s message.
Apple Invites is also integrated with Maps and Weather, so attendees can quickly get directions to the event and the weather forecast on the day of the event. It is now available on the App Store for devices with iOS 18 or later. Creating an event requires an iCloud+ subscription, which starts at $1 a month.
